Learn To Live, led by Yanti Turang, spent 8 days with us in October running clinics around the Ofafa Valley. They held Sexual Reproductive Health workshops for Youth in our local schools and also for our Community Care Worker team.

Research has shown that girls, especially girls who are poor and rural, miss on average 60 days of school per year because they cannot afford sanitary pads. Many schools also lack facilities, such as running water, private toilets, no disposable bins, to accommodate them during their menstrual cycle. Learn To Live showed our 2 resident seamstresses how to make reusable Sanitary Pad Packs. See simple pattern on: www.daysforgirls.org We look forward to this great new partnership with Learn To Live becoming an annual event!
